Cultural collections description

The Cutty Sark is the last example in the world of an "extreme" clipper - one that moved very fast. She was used first to bring tea back from China, then subsequently brought wool from Australia to Britain. During autumn 2006 many objects will be removed from the ship as she goes into a period of intense conservation. Then from 2008 onwards there will be many more displays about the world travel of the ship.
