About Us

Untold London is a collaboration between a number of organisations with experience in the London history and heritage sector. This project is based at the Museum in Docklands in London.

Sara Wajid edits the site (swajid@museumoflondon.org.uk) assisted by a group of student and young journalists who write much of the news content.

Do get in touch with Sara if your organisation would like to be considered for inclusion on the site, or if you would simply like to make a comment.

We realise that the history of London's diverse cultures is not just to be found in museums and archives. We welcome contributions from any group who are putting on exhibitions and events, or maintaining archives relating to culturally diverse history.

The project is managed by the London Museums Hub - a consortium of four local London museums: the Museum of London, the Horniman Museum, London's Transport Museum and the Geffrye Museum - and is funded by the Renaissance in the Regions programme. Renaissance is the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council's groundbreaking programme to revitalise regional museums for the benefit of all our current and future visitors. The Hub especially funds projects that create change and improve access to history for everyone.

The consultants for UntoldLondon are the 24 Hour Museum who, with their technology partner System Simulation, also provide the technology for this site, and much backup data. 24 hour museum is an independent charity funded by the Museum, Library and Archive Council and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
