Ekow Eshun is a writer, broadcaster and Director of the ICA. Born in London of Ghanaian parents, he lived briefly in Ghana before returning to London when he was five. His book Black Gold of the Sun describes his return to Ghana in his early thirties, in search of his own identity and family history. The book also looks back at his life as a child and young man in London.
